Description

This is a Sunlu filament connector jig with embedded magnets, designed to make splicing filaments with the Sunlu joiner much easier and more consistent.

I found it difficult to connect filament directly from the spool because of the tension, and the other versions I tried didn’t give me reliable results. This jig uses 6x2mm magnets (embedded 0.2 mm below the surface) to hold the filament securely in place while joining. The magnets keep both ends aligned, reducing slips and making the splicing process far smoother.

You’ll still need to straighten the filament ends slightly before use, but the jig significantly improves the success rate and makes the whole process much less frustrating. A pause is pre-programmed into the print profile so you can drop the magnets in at the right layer without guesswork.

In the photos there is an example of a joined piece of PETG.
