Description

I tried several other models available online, but many of them had a similar issue: when the Z-axis reaches its highest position, the cable either becomes too tight or even slips out of the guide due to the tension.
Of course, there may be designs out there that don’t have this problem, but since I can’t test every single one, I decided to create my own solution.
This cable guide allows the cable to move more loosely and naturally, so even at the top of the Z-axis, there is no excess tension and no risk of the cable being pulled out.

A redesigned stronger version is now available. (A1 side cable guide V2)

I’m extremely pleased, and you are absolutely correct about other models I have tried and they fail when raising z axis. Maybe they shorten the cable on newer revisions of A1. I also applied masking tape which helps a lot with noice. Thank you

printed in petg made a bit of a mess with the settings but overall the best part with the z-axis fully raised the others are torn off

Simple and perfect! I was worried about chains and other options putting tension in the cable/connections and came across this one. It moves the cable just enough to let me get the AMS unit closer without it impacting the cable, and puts zero strain on the cable throughout the Z-axis. Well done!

Thank you very much for this design I wouldn't get anywhere with a cable chain, which is why your design is perfect for me, because otherwise the cable would run into the shelf Thanks 👍🏻
