Description

This is a simple adapter to mount a PG7 Cable Gland on a surface, using four M2 screws.  It comes in two heights, 8mm and 11mm.

The 8mm version (shown in the pic below) will allow a mm or two of the cable gland to protrude, which should not be a problem since it would typically be mounted over a hole.  the 11mm version should fully cover the threaded end of the cable gland.

This was designed for a specific project, but since I thought it may have more general uses, I decided to upload it here.  The STEP model is included for easy remixing.  Note that the M12 threads are not per the spec.  Rather, I started with a thread that was the right pitch and expanded the major diameter slightly, to accommodate the inherent surface roughness of FDM prints.  The model here is the 5th version I tested, and was able to be hand tightened most of the way, though it was snug and required a wrench to turn the nut on the cable gland the last 1-2 turns.

Use this model at your own risk.  It is up to you to decide if it is suitable for your application.  Feedback is welcome.
