Another accessory for the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener!

ADDITIONAL PRINT PROFILE HAS BEEN ADDED THAT FEATURES ONE ADITIONAL ROW ALONG THE BACK SIDE OF THE GRID.

Ignore the marks where the supports were removed, your print will look better. I let the print sit for a week before removing the supprts. Dont be like me.. Don't start the print right before you walk out the door for vacation.

Looking for the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Compact Base compatible model?

Tired of the Work Sharp Tri-Brasive rod resting on your work surface, or getting in the way during blade rotations?

This accessory base is designed to work in conjunction with the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener Base, enhancing stability and support during the sharpening of larger or more flexible blades. While the base unit improves performance for smaller knives, it can still allow minor blade rocking or flexing when used with longer kitchen knives. This add-on addresses that limitation by introducing an adjustable grid-based support system that helps maintain consistent sharpening angles across the full length of the blade.

The accessory base nests securely into the recessed compartment at the front of the existing base unit and features a grid array of vertical posts. These posts serve as connection points for three interchangeable support types, each featuring a unique footprint for optimizing placement beneath the blade.

Components Overview

  • Grid Base Plate
Custom-designed to fit precisely into the front recess of the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener Base. Features a uniform array of vertical posts used to mount support components.
  • Square Support
A compact support block with a single recessed pocket, designed to mount on any individual post—ideal for perimeter or isolated support needs.
  • Intersection Support (Plus “+” Shape)
Connects at the intersection of four adjacent posts, allowing centralized support between grid points (excluding the perimeter). Useful for mid-blade reinforcement.
  • Extended Support (Hash “#” Shape)
Spans multiple post intersections to provide the most extensive coverage and maximum blade stability. This component interlocks with several grid posts in both directions and is ideal for supporting longer, heavier, or more flexible knives.
  • Threaded Winged Knobs
Each support component includes a threaded stem that interfaces with adjustable winged knobs. By loosening or tightening these knobs, users can raise or lower the supports to precisely match the blade's underside contour. This fine-tuned adjustment ensures a consistent sharpening angle along the full edge.

⚠️ Note: Exercise extreme caution while making adjustments. Hands and fingers will be in close proximity to a soon-to-be very sharp blade edge.
