Description

This is a single-hand, gun-style solder wire feeder designed to significantly improve the smoothness and comfort of soldering.

Compared with traditional soldering methods that require both hands, it offers at least a 200% improvement in handling experience and work efficiency. It also features precise wire feeding, resulting in more stable and aesthetically pleasing solder joints.

Three Key Factors for 3D-Printed Mechanical Fit Parts

  1. Hole compensation: 0.1 mm – Most printers produce around 0.1 mm shrinkage when printing holes.
  2. Reduce top layer flow to slightly under-extrude – Maintaining slight under-extrusion prevents pronounced ridged bulges (up to 0.2 mm high), reducing friction and wear between parts.
  3. Increase elephant’s foot compensation appropriately – A slight under-compensation is usually fine, but even 0.1 mm overcompensation can cause serious assembly issues.

An extra 0.15 mm is enough to turn a perfect fit into something that won’t rotate at all.

Additional Materials

  • Super glue
  • Rubber bands (Ø ~40 mm) × 3
  • 1 × 5 × 38 mm spring × 1

If you prefer not to purchase a spring, a 3D-printed version can be used, but it will need to be replaced approximately once a month.

Other Information

  • More nozzle sizes and spring adapter files are available in Configuration 2.
  • Many parts have special print settings — please do not change them unless necessary.
  • The model shown in the example photos was entirely printed in matte PLA without any issues. If possible, the gears could be printed with wear-resistant materials and the spring with tough materials.
  • Some parts that may require customization are provided in STEP format. If you need any parts not included, please leave a comment to let me know.
