After a heavy downpour, water ran into the casing of my Sonoff Smart Valve – quite annoying!
I then designed this cover to solve the problem.
I printed the part in PLA; the walls and the top area are 1.6mm thick. This keeps it watertight even in the rain, even though it's "just" PLA.
Installation is quite simple: The valve is inserted into the cover from below.
To seal the hole at the top so it doesn't tear, please heat the area beforehand (hot air gun or similar), push the valve in, and smooth the soft PLA again with a flat screwdriver.
Ideal if you use your Smart Valve outdoors and don't feel like repairing it after every storm!
