Assembly Overview

• Hinge: Thread the rod through the spiral hinge pieces. Add a small dab of glue to each end piece to secure.
• Top Supports: Glue in place (recommended) for added strength.
• Latch: Can be printed separately and gently heat-formed for flexibility before snapping into place. Use low heat, just enough to give it some flex.
• Paper Loading: Slide an 8.5 × 11 inch sheet inside, close the latch, and it’s ready for coloring.

• Designed in Fusion 360
• Printed as multiple parts and assembled after printing
• Sliced and tested in Bambu Studio
• Works well with bright filament colors for a kid-friendly look
• Optional non-skid rubber pads can be added to the back (glue securely and ensure they cannot be removed or swallowed)

Why This Exists

I designed this coloring tablet for my own toddler, who loves to color and use stickers. Loose paper can be frustrating for kids. It slips, folds, and slides — so this board helps make art time smoother, more fun, and less messy.

Designer Note

This model is functional and tested, but still a work in progress. Some builders have noted that assembly benefits from a little patience and care. I plan to revisit this design in the future to further streamline printing and assembly, but it is fully usable and has been a hit with kids as-is.
