🛠 Parametric Cover for Attic Folding Ladders
This model is a customizable protective end cover for folding attic ladders. It is designed to fit onto the bottom ends of the ladder to protect the floor, provide a clean visual finish, and improve safety thanks to anti-slip ridges on the angled surface that touches the floor when the ladder is folded down.
The model is fully parametric – you can adjust its dimensions directly here on Maker World to match your specific ladder size and needs.

| bump_count | Automatically calculated number of raised anti-slip bumps. Cannot be edited manually. |
🧪 Fit Test Model – Recommended Before Printing the Full Cover
To save time and filament, it's highly recommended to first print the included fit test model, which contains the same internal dimensions and clearance as the full cover. It lets you verify the fit on your actual ladder before committing to a full-size print.

❗ If the test piece doesn’t fit perfectly, adjust the wall_tolerance parameter (e.g. increase to 0.4 mm) and test again.
📦 Anti-Slip Ridges on Angled Surface
The cover includes small raised bumps on the angled part, designed to ensure a better grip on the floor when the ladder is unfolded. The number of bumps is automatically calculated based on the cover's length – longer covers will have more bumps.

The cover is designed to be universal and easily adaptable. By adjusting the parameters, you can customize it to fit most common attic folding ladders.
