Description

This is a Light weight version of jhermoso's Logitech G502 Lightspeed Pinky and Ring Finger Rest. This version is ~6 grams lighter for a total of 12.78 grams, and has added feet that provide much less friction than the origin module. I have added painters tape to the feet of my print to ensure that there is less friction, and a bit under the rest to keep it from pressing into the old rubber of my 5+ year old G502 lightspeed, although that is not necessary. Alternatively you can add replacement pads to the original design for less jank.

As far as a review goes for jhermoso's design, once properly fit* the grip is quite comfortable and helps encourage you to move the mouse with your arm rather then just your wrist which is better for ergonomics, and more importantly aiming in games.

* Once properly fit - My main issue with the original model was high friction, and as my modifications help, they will not fully remove the extra friction unless a coupled post printing steps are done:

  1. Ensure that support is properly removed from the bottom!!!.

  2. Add painters tape to the bottom and feet. This helps ensure there aren't any weird points of friction that may be caused by print imperfections.

  3. Most importantly, tape down the side of the rest to your mouse. I know it looks ugly, but if you have read this far your probably in that same boat as me and don't want to by a new mouse despite the thing falling apart. Both the original version and my remix have the issue of the actual rest part only cupping the mouse rather then having anything to fasten it top so as an effect the rest will sag and cause friction. The solution is as always tape. You can find out what works best for you but but here is a phot of what I have found to works best.

Thank you for making it this far, this Is my first time uploading so a like would be greatly apricated. Also make sure to checkout jhermoso who made the original design. Farewell o7
