Description

This is an outdoor shield for the Aqara Temperature & Humidity Sensor, designed to protect the sensor from direct sunlight and rain while still allowing air to circulate freely for accurate readings.

Purpose: To ensure reliable sensor data by preventing overheating in the sun and protecting from rain

Design: Based on the original model by @ilMitch, but with key improvements:

🔧 Improved top cover – redesigned for easier printing and a cleaner look

📏 Better sensor fit – narrowed slot so the Aqara sensor stays firmly in place

🧩 Snap-fit connection – part between the station and wall mount now clicks together securely (no more wobble like in the original)

🧵 Recommended print material: white PETG – offers durability and UV resistance for outdoor use.

Tested with the standard Aqara Temperature & Humidity Sensor (square version).

If you find this useful, please leave a like or share your make! 🙌

🔄 UPDATE 9/2025!

There are now two versions of the wall mount included in the download files:

  • One with small screw holes
  • One with a larger center hole (see photos for reference)

You’ll also find the raw editable file (.f3d) for Autodesk Fusion 360 – useful if you want to customize the mounting part further.
