Mini Diorama - Functional Jurassic Park Theme

When I saw the Dino Safari Contest, only one thing came to mind – Jurassic Park!
As a big fan, especially of the first movie, and with the recent announcement of a new Jurassic World installment, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to create a new Mini Diorama based on dinosaurs.
This is already "Functional Mini Train Diorama No. 13"!

The tour begins at the faithfully recreated visitor center. Just like in the film, the legendary Jeep passes by the sick Triceratops, then continues to where Brachiosauruses can be seen near a river, and finally, it ends with the feared T-Rex!

The cars are also redesigned for this scale and should look like the Jeep.

As in my other functional Dioramas you can turn the hand-wheel on the outside to let the jeep drive the tour.

All printed parts are designed to get an good result with a 0,4 nozzle and with minimal color changes to reduce waste.

The jeep is compatible with other dioramas and you can let other trains drive the Jurassik Park Tour.

That's why I chose the arrangement of the pins on the handwheel this way — so that trains are also possible.

Up to 6 Jeeps can run at the same time.

Printing:

Following PLA Basic Filaments are used

Black

Brown

White

Beige

Bambu Green

Mistletoe Green

Silver (Just Fence)

Turquoise (Just River)

Red (Just Jeep)

Other colors are possible of course, look what you have in stock.

I think it could be easy done with single color, if you want to color from hand.

I printed with a 0,4mm nozzle! Iam very pleased with the result, but you can try a 0,2 nozzle as well.

Assembly:

You can decide how much cars you want to add (Up to 6)! For each jeep you need 2pcs 4x2 magnets. One for the pin and one for the Jeep.

Insert the magnets like shown! Pole orientation should be the same for the pins. Then turn the pole orientation for all cars.

Use magnets/cars on the outer track to hold the pins in the inner track.

Arrange pins and magnet approximately like this (6 vehicle spots)

Press the wheel in position. Check if all pins are catched from the hand-wheel.

Use a lighter to bent the palm leaves a bit

Terrain on top of the base and press trees in the holes. You can add a bit of glue to combine. Glue the house and the fence into position.
