Power outlet baby safety cover (US / Decora)

Really liked this original baby-safe power cover but it didn't fit my outlets so I've redesigned from scratch the base part to perfectly fit the outlet style I have (US Decora style).

The base plate is installed instead of the existing base plate that's screwed into your wall using the same 2 screws. The cover part locks on to cover it with additional power plugs connected. It snaps in and makes the outlets and plugs inaccesible to a baby, but easily removable for an adult by pressing in both sides and removing the cover.

I've also added small “wings” off the sides of the base plate to allow for optional medium-sized Command Strips because I wanted to add additional mounting strength beyond the two screws that are part of the outlet itself (If you want to remove them you can just add a “negative part” cube in the slicer and place it on the wings).

All settings and supports are already defined in the print profile, with minimal supports needed.

You might need to do a small amount of filing if your support didn't come out perfectly clean from the holes where the latches fit, but a tiny bit of filing made it work perfectly for me.

These measurements fit my outlets perfectly but I don't know how standardized these are so your milage may vary 🤷♂️😄
