Recommended print settings
- 0.16 mm layers, 3 wall loops, 10-12% gyroid infill
- 80mm/s main speeds
- Brims for back panel and scope to ensure adhesion
- Mouse ears for larger pieces to reduce warping
- Manual tree supports for base pieces.
Printing tips
- If the pins (or back panel insert) are too tight or loose, scale those parts only up or down 1% as needed in Bambu Studio.
- Slow down the 80mm/s speeds to 30-40mm/s if you are not getting a shiny finish with Silk filament.
- Ensure the Silk filament is dry and the build plate is thoroughly clean.
Recommended filaments
- CC3D PLA Silk Gold (I prefer the colour over the yellower Bambu Silk+ Gold but the profile works for either)
- Bambu PLA Basic Black
- Bambu PLA Basic Sunflower Yellow or Yellow (for the ‘photoreceptor’ insert).
- Filament ‘wires’ - Whatever colours off-cuts you have on hand!
