Description

We're know we're a little late to the airless ball trend, but we love soccer and these airless balls really do work. Try it for yourself!

PLEASE READ

  • Ball measures 215mm in diameter and uses less than <500g of filament
  • Overture TPU can be printed much faster, however slower speeds result in cleaner features and better support removal. Changing the volumetric speed to 2mm^3/s will yield better results.
  • TPU support are very rugged and require some force to remove! Use a pair of pliers or vise grips to remove.

He loves a ball, but always punctured the ones with air, this pure joy.

Prints well in Inland green TPU, minimal stringing when using a dryer. Dog loves it.

Printed with Bambu Lab TPU 95A HF. I was unable to remove all the support, but it is sturdy enough for my big dog. I love the result! Broke on the first kick, but doesn’t really bounce afterwards.

Unfortunately, I was unable to remove everything. However, with a great deal of patience and small cutters, I managed to remove a significant portion.

Prints no problem using the Overture High Speed TPU. Upped the flow rate to 5mm3/s, temp at 220 it printed like a dream. 2x walls, 10% gyroid infill. This was scaled down slightly to a size 4 football. Thanks for the model! 👍

Not sure if printing this with another filament than TPU from Bambu but at 15% infill and all the regular presets from this design the ball has little to no flex. After kicking it around for 15-20 minutes it developed cracks and ultimately broke the same day it printed. This may be on me though because the print came out clean and could have sat on a shelf fine.

Beautiful model but a bit too fast for the A1 mini

Did you slow down the speed like instructed? Just asking as I have an A1 mini myself and want to see if the speed was reduced prior to save some time or need to adjust, thank ya

Dry your TPU first. But the supports came off much easier and cleaner than other ball models. Photo shows the part that was at the support. A very nice print!
