Unleash the chilling presence of Jason Voorhees with this unique 3D printed art piece! Featuring a striking 2D comic-style rendition of Jason in the foggy woods, brought to life with a terrifying 3D pop-out hockey mask and machete. This isn't just a print; it's a dynamic display piece perfect for any horror enthusiast or fan of the Friday the 13th series.
What's Included:
- Jason in Foggy Woods Image: A high-resolution, comic-style interpretation of Jason Voorhees amidst a creepy, foggy forest, perfect for showcasing intricate details.
- 3D Pop-Out Hockey Mask: The iconic hockey mask is printed in 3D, creating an awesome depth effect that makes the scene truly out of this world.
- 3D Pop-Out Machete: The classic machete weapon, designed to be positioned for maximum impact within the frame.
- Custom Thin Frame: A sleek and custom-designed frame to perfectly complement your Jason art. (I chose a white frame, but black or any other color would also look great!)
Key Printing Details:
- Layer Height: 0.08mm
- Initial Layer Height: 0.16mm
- Infill: 100%
- Color Change for Image: Transition from Black to White (or your chosen background color) at Layer 6.
- Scales (Sizes) Needed:
- Hockey Mask: 188.50% (A1 Mini = 141.38%)
- Machete: X=112.10%, Y=112.10%, Z=275% (A1 Mini = X,Y 84.1% Z 207.7%)
- A1 Mini Note: Everything will be scaled down to 75%, except the Z heigh on the 2D image, leave that at 100%)
- Colors: The main image is designed for just two colors: Black and White. The hockey mask should be printed in white. The machete looks best printed in silver. The frame can be printed in any color you desire!
- If you're not using the BambuLabs Studio 3MF, or downloaded the models separately, and are having trouble scaling, you can just drag the 3D elements over the 2D image, and scale until you have the desired ratio.
- The the top left corner of my print you'll notice a white square, I forgot to turn off the Prime Tower, don't make the same mistake! (I turned it off in the 3MF file)
Assembly Tips:
- Machete Placement: Add the machete last to ensure it fits inside the frame. I suggest placing the blade a little away from his hand, similar to how I placed mine – it almost seems like he's gripping the blade!
- Hockey Mask Attachment: The best way I found for the hockey mask to attach was by adding a dab of glue on the bottom sides of the mask, positioning it, and then adding enough glue to bond it securely to the image.
- Customization with the Cut Tool: You can play around with the Cut tool in your slicer if you want to add different angles to the mask, for example, looking to the left, or creating a slimmer mask over his face.
- Painting Details: You will have to paint the lines of the hockey mask on for an authentic look. I also thought about adding red paint to a small brush and flicking it on the mask for a nice bloody result – something to consider for an extra touch!
Why You'll Love This Design:
- Unique 2D/3D Hybrid: A visually stunning piece that combines detailed 2D art with captivating 3D elements.
- Easy to Print: Designed with straightforward printing parameters, especially for the main image. Two colors for the HueForge, Black, then white, so no AMS is needed)
- Customizable: Choose your frame and accent colors to match your decor or add your own creative touches with paint.
- Perfect Gift: An absolute must-have for any horror movie fan, collector, or anyone who enjoys a touch of the macabre!
