Description

This is a remix of the "Elegoo Neptune 3 Direct Drive Sherpa Mini Extruder" by  aTinyShellScript , licensed under CC BY 4.0.

In this remix, I modified the original model using Tinkercad by:

  • Removing the original text on the front of the model
  • Extruding and extending both sides to reduce the chance of the print snapping
  • Adding 0.5 mm of height to the top for extra durability
  • Flattening uneven regions to improve stability and print strength

My goal with this remix was to improve structural durability and printability, especially for users who experienced breakage or weakness around the mounting areas. The model was edited using Tinkercad and is fully compatible with the Elegoo Neptune 3 (non-pro, non-plus, non-max) and a range of Sherpa-style extruders including:

  • Sherpa mini
  • Sherpa heavy

You can use pla but you may experience slight warping due to it being close to the printers bed and using pla may cause your mount to break easier. You may want to print the model in petg, abs or asa for the best results :)

You can use heat-set inserts, but if you're unable to, M3 nuts will work as well. Depending on your setup, you may need to use longer screws to mount the extruder securely.

If you have any questions leave them below and I will do my best to answer them. Happy printing!
