Fan shroud that removes the original cover with this 3d printed fan shroud making the extruder head lighter, having better cooling and way more silent. This fan shroud is built upon an existing model and is aimed to boost the current advantages the existing model has.

Material and Print settings personally used: PLA, 3 walls, 20% infill. (Supports are recommended but not needed at low print speeds).

Instructions: Remove the screws from the side from the original casing. Then, in the casing, unscrew the screws that holds the cooling fan in place. Take the original casing and put it aside. Also, detach the fair duct from the opening of the fan. Then, put the new air duct into the hole. Take the fan and screw it into the new fan shroud. Using the original screws that holds the case, screw them to the side of the fan shroud.

Changes from existing model:

  1. Removed some material from flat surfaces to become a “triangular” structure. (Reduces weight).
  2. Removed the fan grill. (Improves cooling and makes the fan way more silent. Some people may be worried of durability or fan protection but it shouldn't be a major concern as I have tested it before already.)
