PRINT GUIDELINES

Here are print guidelines for you to follow in order to have decent success with printing parts:

3D PRINTING PROCESSFDM (fused deposition modeling)
INFILL TYPEGrid, Gyroid, Honeycomb, Triangle or Cubic
MATERIALASA, ASA-CF, ABS, ABS+, ABS-CF
INFILL PERCENTAGE40% - 60%
LAYER HEIGHTRecommended: 0.2mm
WALL COUNTRecommended: 4
SOLID TOP/BOTTOM LAYERSRecommended: 5
EXTRUSION WIDTHForced 0.4mm

Side notes to the print guidelines

PLA, PLA+, and PETG are also considerable filament choices. However, take into account that power tools radiates some indirect heat. The usage of less temperature-stable filaments may result in part deformations over time.

A wall count of 4 is an absolute must to ensure the structural integrity of the parts. There is no need to go over the top with this. 4 walls are perfectly fine for this particular build.

File naming convention for printed parts

The parts use this naming convention:

  • PRIMARY COLOR — These files will have nothing at the start of the filename.
    Example: dremel_mount_x1.stl

  • ACCENT COLOR — Files have “[a]” to the front of any STL file that is intended to be printed with accent color. Example: [a]_strain_relief_7mm_(L)_x1

  • LEFT / RIGHT SIDE MATTERS — Files have “(L)” or “(R)” in the STL file name, where it does any diffrence to the build. Example: [a]_strain_relief_7mm_(L)_x1.stl

If there is no difference in terms of side, simply amount of parts required for build is stated as “filename_X1.stl" or “…_X2.stl”.

  • TOOL/HELPER — Files have “[t]” to the front of any STL file that is intended to be printed with accent color. Example: [t][a]_MGN12_assembly_tool_x1

  • COUNT OF PARTS — Files have “x1” to “x4” at the end of any STL file. The number represents the count of identical parts to be printed. Example: [a]_m5_1mm_spacer_x4 (In this case you will need to print 4 identical spacers).

Supported rotary power tools

Project is built and tested with Dremel 3000 series. Other models and other brands sharing the same dimensions for main attachment screw might fit.

Supported rotary tool accessories

Any.

Replying to @Erestor :
I made a custom hot swapping block so I can attach various tools. The green knobs are handles connected to pins that hold the block in place.

Smooth print with Bambu PETG-CF. Works as expected. Many Thanks for this great add-on.

This is a most intriguing expansion However, demanding a "donation" for the assembly instructions is audacious Supposedly, the "donation" is intended to drive further development and improvement of the Stealth Press, yet even with the Stealth Press 1S, only the instructions for the older Stealth Press 1 are offered They may be quite similar, but they are not identical, and thus one receives assembly instructions for a different product Therefore, it seems the "donated funds" have not been invested in this area

@rike_und_micha — You raise a valid point, but the situation with the Dremel Add-On (and its documentation) is more complex than simply author negligence (which I should know, as I'm the creator). I've noticed that many users are still building the legacy version rather than the 1S, and I don't want to create additional confusion about the differences between versions and their respective purposes.

P.S. Rest assured, a new version of the Dremel add-on will be released - specifically, it's planned for the second or third quarter of 2025. However, I must correct one misconception: I do not DEMAND ("VERLANGEN") any donations. There are several optional ways to support the project, available for those who both WANT to contribute and are in a position to do so.

I purchased for use with my parkside PFBS 160 B2 thinking the attachment thread would be the same but the Dremel is bigger. I will try and fabricate a mounting mod but if you can assist it would be fantastic...
