Bird Feeder Dice Tower
Print Profile(1)

Description
I designed this bird feeder–style dice tower 🐦🎲 to replace the cardboard border feeder included with the Wingspan board game.
It functions as a standalone dice tower too, so feel free to use it for D&D or other tabletop games.
The whole design should slot together snugly without glue, though you can add glue for a more permanent fit.
I painted mine to add detail to the central casing—this is optional. I haven’t included a multi-colour variant of the central casing since it would likely take a long time to print and waste a lot of filament.
I recommend printing using my provided profiles to ensure a good fit. I also suggest not grouping parts onto the same plate (except the supports), as I haven’t tested this configuration.

🧰 Removing Supports
Supports are required:
- At the base of the outer casing (for the texture),
- Within the lid structure,
- And a small amount around the baffle supports.
To remove the supports, gently use a pair of needle nose pliers.
🛠️ Assembly Guide
Start with the base. All parts are designed to slot together without force.
Next, insert the two baffle supports using the ends with the thinner tabs. Ensure the slot for the lowest baffle is facing toward the slide (as shown in the image) so that the dice fall properly.

Note: The left baffle support may seem to wobble slightly at this stage due to the base texture—this will be resolved once the outer casing and lid are in place.
Then, gently slot the baffles into position within the supports. The tabs are mainly for alignment and may not insert fully. Do not force them; the casing will hold them securely.

Now, carefully slide the main casing down over the supports. It should align everything gently. Once at the bottom, fit the casing into the alignment slot on the base.

Finally, align and place the lid, positioning the baffle support tabs into the two slots inside the lid. Once everything is aligned, the lid should slot neatly into place.

Keep an eye out on my socials where I will be uploading a video showing the assembly process in more detail soon.
🎨 Tips for Painters
Avoid painting areas involved in assembly, as this can affect the fit.
- Base: Do not paint the circular slot around the dice slide.

- Main casing: Leave the untextured ends unpainted, as they slot into the base and lid.

- Baffle supports: These are mostly hidden, but if you paint them, avoid the baffle slots, top and bottom tabs, and their ends.
- Baffles: Also mostly hidden. If you choose to paint them, avoid the small tabs and apply only a thin coat to the top surfaces.
