“Tow Mater” Inspired Tow Truck from Cars

Let Me Introduce a Detailed Fan-Made Model of the Legendary Tow Truck Inspired by the Beloved Character from the Animated Film Cars

This 3D printable model captures Tow Mater’s unmistakable personality—from his iconic dented bodywork to the big grin that has won the hearts of animation fans everywhere.

Recommended Print Settings:

• Material: PLA or other material of your choice
• Supports: only for minor overhangs
• 0.2 mm layer height, 15% infill, 3 perimeters
• Optional: print body with or without lettering (multicolor/single-color printing)
• Optional: print windows with or without eyes (multicolor/single-color printing)

Assembly Instructions:

Some parts require glue for proper assembly. However, components like the windows, mirrors, and similar details can be inserted into the model thanks to precise tolerances. The pins securing the chains are designed to fit snugly; they can also be printed with slightly reduced tolerance and then glued in place if needed.

The front and rear axles (wheel mount holders) are clearly marked with text indicating the correct orientation ("front") and must be glued to the car body. The engine, front light, and teeth also need to be secured with glue. Likewise, the rear hook arm bracket should be glued to the chassis.

The chain consists of multiple links—in total, I used 20.

The package includes STL files as well as 3MF files prepared specifically for Bambu Studio and Bambu Lab P1P and compatible printers. Additionally, there are 3MF files ready for Anycubic Slicer Next, optimized for Anycubic Kobra 3 and Anycubic Kobra S1 printers. Files can also be opened and edited using Orca Slicer.

For multi-color printing, it is recommended to use AMS/AMS Lite, ACE PRO, or another compatible system that supports color filament switching.

Tento 3D tisknutelný model přináší Burákovu nezaměnitelnou osobnost – od jeho ikonické promáčknuté karoserie až po široký úsměv, kterým si získal srdce všech milovníků animáků.

K zajisteni dilu je potřeba pouzit lepidlo. Nektere casti jako třeba okna, zrcátka a pod staci do modelu diky toleranci vlozit. Piny zajistujici retezy jsou vlozene s mirnou silou, je mozne je vytisknout s mensi toleranci a pote zajistit lepidlem. Predni a zadni naprava (drzaky prednich a zadnich kol) je oznacena a jejich umisteni je napisem dopředu. Je potřeba ke karoserii prilepit. Motor, predni svetlo a zuby taktéž zajistit lepenim. Drzak zadniho ramene haku je potřeba taktéž prilepit ke karoserii. Retez je skladany z několika clanku, celkem jsem jich pouzil 20.

Ke stazeni jsou soubory STL, dále pak 3MF soubory pripravene pro Bambu Studio a tiskárnu P1P a komp., dále 3MF pro Anycubic Slicer Next a tiskárnu Anycubic Kobra 3 a Anycubic Kobra S1. Je možno otevřít v Orca Slicer. Přo multibarevny tisk je potřeba pouzit AMS/AMS Lite nebo ACE PRO ci jiny ekvivalent pro barevny tisk.
