Overhang, Under Extrusion, Hole, and Flaw Test Cube: A Quick and Material-Efficient Testing Method
Print Profile(1)

Description
This block tests for flaws such as material shortages and voids in overhangs, circular holes, and square holes oriented counter-clockwise.
Each test block weighs 0.2g, enabling rapid testing. Multiple copies with varying parameters can be created for batch testing.
Aimed first, then fired,
Conclusion:
Insufficient material supply and excessive traverse speed after exiting the overhang state lead to material shortages and voids.
Solutions:
1. Reducing the smoothing factor can significantly mitigate material shortages and voids. The default is 80; this can be adjusted to between 0.02 and 10, with lower values generally resulting in greater improvement.
2. Slightly reducing the overhang speed and increasing the overhang cooling speed can slightly improve material shortage issues.
3. Appropriately setting variable layer height and manual Z-seaming can slightly improve material shortage issues.
4. Setting variable layer height and slightly reducing the fan speed can create rounder circular holes.
5. Excessive fan speed can cause overhangs and bridges to warp, leaving small protrusions at the top.
