Wall Control Slots For Combi-squares, angle rulers, and try/machinist squares (DDD based)
Print Profile(1)

Description
The parent system is neat, but it contained no way to slot tools like try or machinist squares and digital angle rulers on wall control panels.
Additionally, I found some of the sidepiece flats and pins in the parent to have hooks that were too tight in the slots, and/or too loosely fitting with the centerpiece pins in a variety of different filaments, so I needed to alter some of the tolerances.
Using some of the STEP files provided in the parent remix, I carefully cycled through several test-print cycles until I got good fits for the parts I needed. Hopefully these STEP files help other people with fitment issues in the parent design.
Parts Included
- Left/right flats: Universal for all designs in this post. Adjusted hole size and hook thickness for better fittings (vs parent). STEP data for these is included in the AngleRulerHolder_AndFlats.STEP file.
- Angle Ruler Holder: A mount for common digital angle rulers, like this one sold here: https://www.amazon.com/General-Tools-822-Digital-Finder/dp/B00563TM32 . See picture of the mount in gallery.
- CombiSquareHolder: A mount for combi-squares. I sized mine to fit for the pair of craftsman ones I had (pictured). You might want a different slot hole size if you've got something smaller/bigger on yours.
- MachinistSquareHolder: A mount for a common machinist's square, as pictured.
Printing
I recommend printing the left/right flats presented here instead of the ones in the parent, as i've altered them not to catch on the wall-control panels, and i've also altered the pins and holes to fit better, particularly if you plan on super-gluing them together to form single solid parts.
