Description

UPDATED: V2 added with better tolerance and vertical print with no support.

05-2026 - It's been over a year now, my kitten is now a 12lb cat and the shelf is still holding up fine, I've moved the shelves to the garage walls to incorporate a larger cat play area (carpeted walls, etc.).

Simple wall shelf for cats, recommend printing vertical to avoid support / potential issues, or horizontal to increase strength if needed.  I am new at designing and not an engineer by any means so if there are improvements to be made, please let me know (using small words lol).

350mm x 180mm split for A1 Mini about 186g for each plate (2 total)

Also made a smaller “step” as an in between

I don't have cats but I used it for my coffee corner and it was just what I needed. Thank you very much

I printed V2, a little bigger. Absolutely great 👍 no problems during assembly. Another print, again a bit bigger, is already running

Greetings, great design. Do you think this can hold 4 and 5kg cats? I have 8 cats

One of my cats is almost double that so I shudder to think of how fast he would destroy something like this.

I can’t see why supports are needed for the version printed laying flat on the bed. Those small holes don’t need support, even if the slicer thinks it does. It’s barely an overhang.

it's the dovetail connectors that require it

I do not recommend printing it vertically. For some reason, the layers detach when you put it together. I tried again afterwards and it happened again. Then I tried horizontally again and everything was fine
