Description

Cases for the Waveshare ESP32-S3-ETH (affiliate link).

You will need one M3 countersunk screw.

Version 2:

  • extra space for bigger solder blob near RJ45, thanks @balloob for the info
  • parametric design, you can change the height and width using the "Customize" button, if you don't like standard sizes
  • more and nicer looking vents
  • 4 sizes, but empty cases, without any mounts, other than for the ESP

Version 1 (green and blue ones in the photos):

  • S only for the ESP32 itself (only fits without headers)
  • M some more room for extras
  • L with mount for a NRF24L01+, two Victron VEdirect connectors (affiliate link), and 3x 3mm screw holes for more accessories
  • XL like L but 20mm wider + mount for MCP2515 and SN65HVD230

If you need a case for the P4 version, look here.

Can you make this to suit the P4-ETH PoE? The only issue is that the pins on the preassembled kit is on the bottom, so can it be rotated on its side?

Hey, the design is quite similar, so with a few changes in dimension and swapping the USB-C it would be done. But without having physical access to a P4 it's really hard to get all measurements. Pin orientation seems identical to the S3.

The other issue is that the pins face down, on the board, not up, to accomodate the POE module, which is on the back end of the RJ45 port. You'll see what I mean, but if you want accurate dims, im happy to send them to you :)

This case design (v2) is the whole reason I got a 3D printer. I'll quickly be able to deploy an esp32 project into a real world operational environment. muchas gracias!!

Thanks for the great case. It fits perfectly. Is it possible to get the design files I would like to add a few more openings (cable pass-throughs)

I would like to install an RJ45 jack and also provide for additional cable pass-throughs to be drilled I want to use the housing as a temperature sensor but when the sensor is inside the housing it reads much too warm due to the dissipated heat I will gladly provide the data for the RJ45 cutout later Regards Markus

I printed V2-S to use with my Home Assistant ZWA-2 and it works great. Using the customizer I was able to generate a case that had a 1U height, then added rack ears so I can mount it to my media center 10" rack..

So glad the one case that I could find for my Waveshare ESP32-S3-ETH PoE happened to be as awesome as this one. Great default print profile, attractive design, and even fits an external antenna through the hexagon shapes (though a dedicated circular hole would be appreciated). Excellent for a PoE/wired BLE proxy, as running both the proxy and WiFi on a standard ESP32 reduces range and reliability significantly.
