Calcaneus Fracture—Sanders Type IV
Print Profile(1)
Description
This 3D model represents a Sanders Type IV intra-articular calcaneus fracture, derived from real patient CT DICOM data. The fracture is characterized by severe comminution of the posterior facet, with three or more articular fragments, making it the most complex and unstable pattern in the Sanders classification.
Fracture Features:
- Highly comminuted posterior facet with loss of joint congruity
- Disruption of the subtalar joint surface
- Involvement of anterior process, calcaneal body, and sustentaculum tali
- Severe displacement and loss of Böhler’s angle typical of high-energy axial trauma
