SUN2000 Inverter Fan Cooler – KTL-L1 Model

I modelled in Fusion360 a Fan cooler for my inverters

It is compatible with Huawei Sun2000 KTL-L1 inverters, not for M1.

Huawei sais in the manual that the inverter working temp can reach 60ºC under full load, but it can start thermal throttling when reaches 45ºC.

So… If i can keep it cool, more performance and better lifespan!

I used two 120mm PWM fans, in my case Thermalright TL-C12C, but you can choose any 120mm fan.

I used threaded inserts, but you can choose bolt and nut or self-tapping bolts.

I control the fan speed throught a pwm fan controller from aliexpress, it costs about 2.5€ and i included a hole for a round connector.

I control them with a zigbee relay in home assistant connected to a 12v 1A power supply, it turns on the fans when the inverter reaches 35ºC and turn off below that temp.

You can use a socket timer plug or a smart socket instead, it's up to you.

I tested them and the performance is great!

With the pwm controller about 60%, the inverter is always below 45ºC, before was 55-60ºC!!

So a great and cheap mod!

NOTE: Added “sun2000 extension.3mf” file as a modular 120mm fan adding. An user asked for a x4 fan version, but i don't have that inverter and i can't check it. So i think this is the best option, you can add fans as needed to fit your inverter size.

NOTE 2: Added “SUN2000-80MMx3.3mf” file as a x3 80mm fan version. An user asked for a x3 80mm fan version because he don't has enough space where he has the inverter mounted for 120mm fans.
