Description

Print and assemble your monitor lamp. Light up your workspace during long working nights.

It can be assembled using any LED controller. I used an ESP8266 Lua NodeMCU V3 Wi-Fi CH340 controller with a WLED installation.

Сomponents

  1. 2x M5x25 Socket head(8.38mm)
  2. 12v COB Led Strip,  8mm, 1710 lm
  3. 1m 2-core wire + DC connector 5,5 x 2,1 mm (or any other you would prefer)

Printing

  1. The lamp can be printed with PETG or PLA accordingly.
  2. Light diffusers. Ensure that seams are aligned on the “tails”.
  3. Cover. It is strongly recommended to use a brim for this model.

Assembly

  1. Fill “Monitor Arm 3” with any weight you have. I used an acrylic filler for this, and it worked well (filled with layers to speed up the drying). Close with the “Monitor Arm 3 Cover”.
  2. Cut off the “tails” (as shown in the photo) of the diffusers and sand down the corners to provide a tight fit.

  3. Slide one base into the cover from the side. Don't try to snap the base in from the bottom; it's easy to break the cover.
  4. After one part of the base is in the cover, insert two connectors and slide the second part of the base into place.
  5. Put the wire through the arm and the lamp base. Make the wiring first; it will be impossible after you stick the cob LED.
  6. After soldering the wires to the LED, insert the diffusers.
