Description

Custom 3D Printed Bearing Tool for Inmotion V14 Tire Cap

This custom-designed 3D printed tool is engineered to simplify the often-challenging process of removing and installing the motor bearings from your Inmotion V14's tire cap. Crafted for precision and ease of use, this tool helps you maintain your EUC's critical components with confidence.

For Bearing Removal: To effectively remove the old bearing, we recommend a thermal approach. Gently heat the tire cap (e.g., with a heat gun or in a low-temperature oven) to cause it to expand slightly. Simultaneously, cool the bearing (e.g., by placing it in a freezer) to cause it to contract. This differential expansion and contraction will significantly loosen the bearing's fit, allowing this specialized 3D printed tool to assist in safely extracting it from the cap.

For New Bearing Installation: Installing a new bearing is made effortless with the same thermal principles. Place your new bearing in a freezer for at least 30 minutes to ensure maximum contraction. Concurrently, heat the tire cap in an oven or with a fan. Once the cap is warm and expanded, and the bearing is cold and contracted, the new bearing should simply slide into place with minimal force, ensuring a perfect, stress-free fit.

This tool is a must-have for any Inmotion V14 owner looking to perform their own bearing maintenance, ensuring smooth operation and extending the life of their electric unicycle.
