Smart Orbiter 3 (REVO) Hypercube Evolution Adapter

This is the adapter I designed to attach the Smart Orbiter 3 (Revo Edition) to my Hypercube Evolution.

It should fit the standard Hypercube Evolution carriage with 3mm dowel pins.

It should work as well for the original Smart Orbiter 3 since it's only 1mm shorter.

Required hardware:

• 1x M3 nut
• 4x 3mm x 12mm dowel pins
• 4x M3 screws 8mm long (in case you want to try to use a different screw length, the adapter is 5mm thick);
• 1x M3 screw (this should be at least 6mm long to reach the nut into the adapter. You need to add the thickness of your carriage)

Recommended Print Instruction:

Use 0.2mm or 0.3mm layers, 5 perimeters, 4 top/bottom layers.

I recommend to lay it flat on the side with the nut hole (I ensure you that you don't want to remove supports from the screw/pin holes).

Assembly instruction:

• insert the dowel pin (a little hammering may be required);
• put the nut inside the adapter;
• attach the Smart Orbiter 3 to the adapter (pay attention to the fan cable! Depending on your needs you may want to fit in the adapter first);
• attach the adapter to the carriage and screw in the last screw to hold it in position (if the screw you use is too long you may end up scratching your Smart Orbiter. I don't have recommended screw length because different carriages may have different thickness).
