Description

This is one of the oldest screwdriver sets I own, and the tools are still holding up well.

However, the thin plastic case recently broke, so I designed a new case for it.

All you need is 8 M3x20 screws and 8 M3 nuts for the mechanism.

A piece of TPU can be inserted as a seal, but that is optional.

Printed it scaled +10% to fit toolset 74085 ... a bit too tall but it works.

do you think +8% would of worked better? I have the 74085 tools and want to print this case.

Not sure ... at 10% there's sure room for the handle but not that much for the "bits".

Fits perfectly the old Tamiya Craft Tools set But unfortunately not the new one as the tool grip is about 2 mm wide in diameter and 1cm taller and the bits are about 0.5mm wider in diameter If its possible could you make an updated version for the New Tamiya Craft Tool set too

Nice idea and design, but I had to filling a lot to the handles fit nicely with no scratches on it. Thanks

Excellent! 8.5-hour print with 0.4 nozzle, very sturdy. Tamiya 74023 tools fit perfectly, no rattling. Clips securely grip bolts. Tweaks: * Curve top lid & bottom hinge for easier opening/closing. Current design hinders free movement, causing lid to rub against case & tools. * Logo: Red filament bleeds. White looks better, but font & alignment need improvement. Stars should touch for a cleaner look.

had to sand down the corners near the hinges as they pinch too tightly, if you get a chance, would be nice to round or chamfer these corners.

WARNING! This is junk, the set unfortunately does not fit because the housing is too small

Oddly, it fits perfectly for me, as you can see in the images. This is likely due to the choice of filament. I find it quite disrespectful to dismiss others' work as rubbish. However, in the anonymity of the internet, everyone suddenly feels emboldened.

I suggest reviewing the comments, as several users have already noted that it does not fit

sized it down to 90% I believe, works perfect, added a little foam on the top of the lid to prevent rattleing!

The print is excellent, but a design modification is necessary to ensure the lid opens correctly. The support strut at the rear of the lid and base must be rounded to allow the lid to open and close properly. It currently catches. The Tamya logo is also poorly implemented and should be revised.
