Description

A compact, hybrid Foldable Desk Nameplate that combines the strengths of 3-D printing and laser cutting.
Print the base in one piece—no supports, minimal filament—then slide in a 130 × 40 × 4mm plywood (or acrylic) insert engraved with your name, title, logo, or QR code.

This nameplate operates in two simple states:

  1. Open (display mode) – the hinge leg pivots down until it locks against an internal stop, setting the face at an good viewing angle. The press-fit channel holds the engraved insert upright and rigid, so your name is clear to everyone across the table.
  2. Folded (travel mode) – flip the leg back up and the whole unit becomes a flat, then thin bar that slips into a laptop sleeve or drawer without snagging. Because the insert remains captive, nothing gets lost during transport.
