Description
LabMag - Magnetic Lab Organization System
LabMag redefines what a “mount” can be—combining instrumentation, communication, and adaptability in one magnetic, modular platform.

LabMag is a universal magnetic mount designed to keep critical environmental data visible, accessible, and actionable. Its strong magnetic base attaches instantly to any metal surface—whether it’s a fume hood, cabinet frame, or tool cart—eliminating the need for adhesives, clamps, or screws.
At its core, LabMag securely holds a standard cylindrical hygrometer/thermometer, but its design goes further. Integrated into the frame are four additional magnetic mounting points—purpose-built for attaching custom warning signs, calibration tags, or workflow indicators. From “In Use – Do Not Touch” to “⚠️ Chemical Hazard,” LabMag helps labs communicate status and safety at a glance.
Whether you’re calibrating equipment, tracking temperature-sensitive reactions, or organizing a shared workspace, LabMag turns a passive meter into an active command center—streamlining both monitoring and messaging in one elegant solution.
Key Features:
- Universal fit for cylindrical hygrometers/thermometers
- Fits 90 degree mountable (Bambu Labs), 60/45 degree mountable (3rd party) hygrometers
- Powerful magnetic base for secure, tool-free installation
- 4 modular magnetic ports for warning signs and status tags
- Clean, compact design that complements any lab setup
- Fully customizable for different instruments and use cases
- Display & Compact Stands to hold your collection of sensors
🔄 Compatible by Design:
The LabMag system is compatible with user-created and third-party 3D-printed warning signs, tags, and labels. Its four magnetic side ports are sized to securely hold any plate with embedded magnets or metal backing—making it easy to integrate existing designs from the community or expand your own library of lab signage. Whether you're sharing a workspace or customizing for specific protocols, LabMag adapts to your needs. Use the LabMag Accessory - Sign + Warning Sign Accessory Mount to hold other creator signs.

LabMag isn’t just a mount—it’s a lab assistant in disguise.
Mount your meter. Magnify your workflow. Magnetize your lab.

Assembly Information
Assembly Recommendations
- Use Strong neodymium magnets (N35 grade at least) (10mm x 2mm) and (8mm x 2mm) for reliable attachment - I would recommend the Bambu Lab magnets. I have found them to be much stronger than magnets from amazon.
- 🧲 Insert magnets carefully to ensure correct polarity (all facing the same direction) for consistent magnetic interaction. Glue can be used to hold magnets in place, but not necessary.
- Blank templates are provided to allow you to make your own signs and customize the system.
Lighter parts = better system connection (low infill on parts).

Components to Buy
- Recommendations below are for a small quantity of accessories. Please reference bill of materials above when determining how many magnets you need for your application.

🛠️ Assembly Instructions for LabMag Hub:
- Install Side Magnets
Insert 4 10mm x 2mm neodymium magnets into the side slots of the LabMag hub. These enable modular attachment of custom labels, warnings, or status tags. - Install Base Magnets
Insert two 10mm x 2mm magnets into the bottom recesses of the hub. These provide strong magnetic adhesion to metal surfaces such as lab shelves, fume hoods, or tool carts. - Insert Hygrometer
Press-fit your cylindrical hygrometer or temperature/humidity meter into the center cavity. The design ensures a snug, secure fit while allowing easy removal for battery changes or recalibration. The Bambu lab hygrometer and other 3rd party cylindrical hygrometers are compatible.

🧲 Attaching Magnets to Lab Signs
- Identify Magnet Slots
Locate the two circular recesses on the back of the sign—these are sized for 8mm x 2mm magnets. - Check Polarity
Align the magnets so their polarity matches the side magnets on the LabMag hub and accessories (repelling magnets won’t hold). Test-fit first if unsure. - Press Fit Carefully
Gently press each magnet into its slot using your fingers or a soft tool (e.g., a plastic spudger). Ensure they sit flush with the surface. Build out all your signs and customize
Customize your lab with your favorite signs and colors!
