Borescope Gutter Cleaning Tool Shop Vacuum

I hate heights, but clogged gutters don’t care. So instead of dragging out a ladder and risking my neck, I bought one of those shop vacuum attachments that lets you clean gutters from the ground. It sucked up a ton of gunk and leaves… but the whole time, I was flying blind. No clue if I actually got everything.

At first, I thought about rigging an old baby monitor to see up there, but after bouncing ideas off ChatGPT, I discovered borescopes—tiny cameras on long cables that can reach 30 feet or more. Game changer.

I grabbed one off Amazon for about $40, zip-tied it to the vacuum wand, and gave it a shot. It worked—but barely. The camera kept getting knocked around, and trying to juggle both the screen and the vacuum was annoying.

Luckily, I’ve got a 3D printer. So I whipped up a simple mount, slapped it on with double-sided tape, and boom—problem solved.

Now? I can see what I’m doing, stay on the ground, and clean the gutters like a pro. The vacuum attachment is great on its own, but pairing it with a borescope turns it into the ultimate gutter-cleaning tool. No ladder, no mess, no stress.

Borescope: Just search Amazon for one in the length you need. I got a 32 foot one, but it was too long, but it's better to be too long than not long enough. 

Shop Vacuum: I used a Vacmaster Professional - Wet/Dry Vac, 16 Gallon, Beast Series, 6.5 HP 2-1/2" Hose. You want to stick to around a 16 gallon, 6.5HP with a 2.5 inch hose, especially the 2.5 inch hose.
