Mini Retort Stand - Laboratory Stand

This is a miniature retort stand which is useful for holding equipment during scientific experiments. The model includes the base, a vertical rod (10mm), horizontal rod (10mm) and a 90 degree bosshead to clamp the horizontal rod to the vertical rod. You can of course print additional rods and bossheads as required to achieve more versatile and complex angles etc.

The base incorporates a threaded hole into which the vetical rod screws tightly to hold in place. It also incorporates a dish which can accommodate a weight to aid stability if required, but is useful for holding small parts and also reduces filament useage during printing.

It is obviously quite small and lightweight so not intended for anything heavy but might be useful for simple applications, or as a toy for a budding young scientist! Could also be useful for crafts, model making or soldering with the addition of some clamps to make a ‘helping hands’ type tool. I do intend to make some accessories for it in future so keep an eye on my other models, and you can also adapt the bosshead model to create your own fittings, clamps, holders etc.
