This is a small print-in-place tensegrity device that creates the illusion of levitation.
You need no other parts or post processing - the strings are printed as bridges mid air. For the best illusion, you can print the strings in another color, like Translucent PETG or PLA.
Be careful when removing this from the build plate. I recommend using PEI and let it fully cool down before you gently twist it off the build plate. Do not apply force in the direction of the strings or they might snap.
To achieve the best strength , 0.24mm layer height is used and the strings are embedded. This allows the device to even carry small items on the top (see images).
This design was tested on X1/P1, A1 and H2D printers. I tested Basic and Matte PLA, as well as Translucent PLA and PETG for the strings and always got good results. Translucent PLA Mellow Yellow is nearly colorless when printed as a single line. Matte PLA is more likely for sagging and weaker than Basic PLA.
