Description

My camping stove needed a windshield.  I got a folding windshield from Amazon but when it was windy it kept blowing over so largely useless.   After a few trips with bits of string holding things down I decided to come up with something better.   Options are limited as the slits in the table are quite thin, so this is what I came up with.   4 brackets that fit the sides and 2 brackets that fit the back.   These work perfectly if you have a table with 4mm gaps, 11mm thick table top and a 0.4mm wind screen.   I have tried it on 3 different folding tables which all have the same gaps and thickness so maybe a standard… who knows.

To use, position your shield on the table in a sensible place with the sides perpendicular to the slits and the back parallel.  Take 2 of the “flat” clips and position them along the open edges then twist 90 degrees to lock into place.   Repeat on the other side.    Then take the 2 “cross shaped” clips and position along the back of the shield and again twist into place.  Then “simply” slot the wind shield into the groves and adjust as necessary.   Look at the pictures to see how they fit into place.

These benefit from slim tree supports and printing on their edge; that way you get strength where the centre pin joins the top and bottom.  I printed in PET-G as I happened to have that loaded.  If you don't have a good bed you may need to add a brim of some sort; mine printed fine without.

Any comments or boosts gratefully received.   I am hoping to make and share other useful things (sorry, no dragons or superhero masks here)  but need feedback to know what people want.
