Vapor Blast Gun with 3d printed nozzle, air jet, water fitting, and O-rings.

This is an updated version

  • ¼ in. NPT brass fittings support for the air jets

  • ½ in. NPT water fitting option

  • Better ergonomics, more comfortable and reduce hand fatigue

  • Improvements to the threads and barbs to be stronger and tighter

  • Thicker walls on the nozzle nut

  • Same performance as v3

  • Only parts compatible from v3 is the nozzle and O-rings

This vapor blast gun surprised me with how good it performs, and works way better than any other 3d printed one I tried. I have been using it for many many hours blasting with zero leaks around the nozzle seal, or the fittings.

The air jet and nozzle can easily be changed out for different compressor setups depending on your CFM's.

I used 95A TPU for the seals and they have been working perfect.

The threads should be printed at 50% speed for best quality, they should come out just about perfect using the slower speeds. (they will get droopy if printing to fast, but should still work) I spend a lot of time sizing the threads to fit tight with very little wiggle room.

I spend a lot of time trying to research which combination of air jet and nozzle to use, so far I believe the air jet diameter depends on compressor hp/CFM available, and the nozzle should be about 2x to 2.5x the air jet diameter.

I've been using the 2.75mm Air jet with 6mm Nozzle, and it has been working very well for many hours blasting now.

Please let me know If you need a certain size that I have not already uploaded, or have any suggestions for improvements.

I like using the plastic wrenches to avoid over tightening and cracking anything.

This is how the fittings should appear when fully tightened and seated against the O-rings.
