I received a few requests to make a smaller version of the Twisty Vase model, so I decided to make one! This required a completely new model as simply shrinking down the original would leave the tolerances too tight and the spiral members would get very skinny.

The Twisty Vase Jr. is a decorative fidget toy where several interlocking pieces slide along a spiral. Each member has a limit to hold them from sliding too far. It is fun to play and makes for a nice modern decoration!

At full extension, it can reach about 13 inches or 33cm in length!

This print requires no support and prints in place. Please clean your build plate thoroughly because this can be a challenging print if your bed adhesion isn't great. Otherwise I printed this several times without fail.

Update 7/17/2025:

Assembled the parts in the 3mf file, this will keep all parts together through various exports and cloud-based multi-model printing.

Update 8/27/2025:

Added the “V2” profile. This should hold together better and now has 20 members instead of 19. I hope this will address the problems some people faced with their prints not holding together.
