Description

*SPOILER ALERT*

A non-working replica of the awesome lockpick device that Kleya used to infiltrate the coruscant hospital to save Luthen from the Empire.

Im not gonna say this is screen accurate, but its probably as close as 3D printing will allow. Based on the few stills i worked from, i tried to capture as much detail as possible, whilst also doing a bit of creative gap filling for the bits you don;t get a good view of. I suspect there were at least two different versions used in the show, one for the safehouse scene and one for the visual effects of it working in the hospital, this is combination of the two.

The example pictured was done with a 0.4 nozzle but this model would really benefit from using a 0.2 nozzle if you're willing to wait for it. There is alot of small details that didn't print as well as i would like but it still looks great.

It is split into a few parts that need to be assembled to aid the printability, with only a small amount of supports being required that easily come off with minimal scarring. Be careful removing the ring section from the build plate, its quite thin and fragile.

Hope you all enjoyed the show as much as I did! And enjoy printing this small piece of the StarWars universe for yourself. The props and model teams on this show really out did themselves, theres so many things i want to try and recreate! I may also work on a version of this prop that has led features and maybe some moving parts in the future…

2 AMS required for 5 colours, if you only have one i would recommend ditching the gold colour for silver.
