Modular Shelf for IKEA Pruta Containers (0.6 L)

A practical, snap-fit shelving system designed for the popular IKEA Pruta 0.6 L containers (with the yellow lid).

I created this for my mother to make it easier to access individual containers without lifting the whole stack. You can now simply pull out each container — perfect for kitchens, workshops, or craft rooms.

Features:

• Modular Design: Easily expandable by connecting additional units.
• Tool-Free Assembly: No glue or screws needed — everything snaps together.
• Strong and Stable: The structure holds up well. As shown in the photos, you can lift the entire tower by just two modules without it falling apart.
• Durable: If it ever falls, nothing breaks — just snap it back together.

Assembly Notes:

• You’ll need 3 connectors per level.
• For extra stability (e.g. every second level), you can use 6 connectors.
• For me, 3 connectors per level were strong enough.
• When assembling, you can gently flex the plate to insert the connectors more easily — they are designed to have a tight, secure fit.

Important Note for Carrying:
If you want to move the shelf, it’s best to empty it first or lift it by the connectors, not the shelves.
Depending on the weight of the contents, the connectors might loosen if you try to lift the shelf by the horizontal plates only.
If your containers are light, it’s usually no problem — but for heavier loads, better to empty it before moving.
