Description

My 3D-Printed Fruit Picker

 

Hey there! I designed this fruit picker myself, and it's been a game changer for reaching those high-up apples, pears, or whatever tasty treats might be out of arm’s reach. The basket-style head has open slots to keep it lightweight and easy to maneuver through branches, while the “crown” shape at the top helps guide the fruit gently off the tree.

 

The handle mount fits a stick with a 32mm diameter, and I made sure it's secured with a side screw for a tight and steady grip. Super easy to assemble and use!

 

Whether you're harvesting in your backyard or just grabbing a snack from that one annoying branch, this tool makes it a breeze.

Solid, printing without problems. But I do not understant the hole on the bottom. You cannot use it for small fruits (plums for example), they all fall throught it down 😟

Thank you for the feedback! I think i had In mind that the bottom hole saves material and lets water drip from there. I only have Apple trees so it did not occur To me that smaler fruits could fall out from there. Maby you could clue a mesh or something To the bottom to remedy the problem.

Fully understand the material saving and the water issue. Maybe just change one hole to lets say 5 of them, but smaller. It will work as well.

dann drucken sie doch noch eine kleine extra Scheibe mit dem Durchmesser für den Boden und legen sie es hinein. so haben sie 2 in eins mit Loch und ohne und das Problem ist gelöst. Problem wäre damit gelöst

Printed it in PETG It fit well on a hardware store paint roller pole The ring could perhaps be a bit smaller (2/3 of the size) to better maneuver between branches Otherwise, the 2025 harvest is secured :)

We used this to pick Pears. It worked great. I added walls and used the strength setting. Had absolutely not issues twisting nor pulling the pears. I never heard a crack or pop from any stress.
