This Cap and Holder drastically improve the user expierence while using the Z-Finder toollength sensor.

The Sensor gets mostly encapsulated, sothat chips can't get under the sensor ruining your measurement and part, but also protects the sensor from coolant, dust and other debris.

And all that without the risk of crashing your mashine, if you forget to remove the Cap, as there is a thin Layer where the Endmill can just pierce trough. And if that is not even enough, and the Chuck hits the Cap, it will spilt into pieces along the breaking points.

The Holder is open on one side, sothat chips can easyly be blown or brushed out, making sure that nothing gets under the sensor.

Its meant for 50mm Hole spacing with M6 threads, using DIN6912 Screws. The Screwheads can be pluged for easy cleaning.

I'm using this Design on my own CNC-Mill for over 1000h Spindletime now and it works perfect for me.
