🔥 Oblivion Gate – Glows Brighter Than Pelagius’ Nightmares!
Ah yes… the Oblivion Gate. Big. Pointy. Full of fire and existential dread. Now you too can open a Daedric portal without summoning lawsuits or melting your neighbors! Behold! A lamp! A gate! A screaming doorway into décor and delirium!
🎨 Twisted spires! Runes that definitely say something ominous (or maybe “made in Morrowind”)! And the iconic flaming oval that looks like someone set a jellyfish on fire and loved it! This glorious thing even holds a COB LED strip inside—because who doesn’t want their madness backlit?
🖨 Print it, you say? With plastic?! YES! Print it in red! Print it in orange! Print it in transparent butter if you must! Just promise me you won’t eat it. (No guarantees on that from the Dark Seducers.)
🧠 “I used to be a Daedric Prince like you… then I took a filament spool to the sanity.”
🦆 Why you’ll love it:
✔ Absolutely lore-accurate, assuming the lore was written by a crab on fire
✔ Summons attention, not scamps (unless you print too many)
✔ The only gate you’ll want in your living room
⚠️ Printing Tips:
Use translucent filament for maximum portal pizzazz. LEDs go in the voidy bit. Don’t stare directly into the light unless you're ready for an unsolicited cheese prophecy.
In all seriousness though, this model uses nothing but 100% maker supply parts and has very easy assembly! I will include a wiring diagram eventually but for now I have posted some photos of how it works. It is actually quite simple! It does require either some glue or double sided tape to hold the cob strip in place. As you can see from the photos, i used a small amount of super glue to secure them around the outer edge of the back plate. The potentiometer holder can be tricky. I use the M2.5x10 Machine Screws to screw into the board to use as a spacer. I then apply a drop of glue the the head of the screws and press the potentiometer until it wont wiggle anymore. I then use the Potentiometer Box to cover the excess wiring and the hole in the back. Last step, You glue the front and back plates together and enjoy you Tunable LED Oblivion portal!
