Description

Boost Me (for free)

The next time, someone asks for your WiFi key, hand him this one and check how long it takes him to work out, that it has NFC. The key contains a NTAG213 chip that you can write your WiFi credentials to, using your phone. Simply scan the key to connect to your WiFi.

Things you need

  • NTAG213/215/216 stickers like those (affiliate link) (if they are bigger, you can carefully cut away a bit from the border, but watch out to not damage the antenna inside the sticker)

Recommended print settings

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • No supports needed
  • Pause at height 1.5mm
  • Change filament at 2.5mm if your want the multi color variant

How to do everything

  1. Start the print (include the pause and filament change from above)
  2. On the first pause, insert the sticker
  3. Optionally, change color on the second pause
  4. Use the app “NFCTools” to write your WiFi credentials to the key
  5. Optionally, use the same app to set a password for the NFC chip in order to keep others from changing the contents
