Description

This is a simple 3D-printable cover that fits over your bicycle headlight and angles the light beam downward, helping to reduce glare for oncoming cyclists and pedestrians. Many modern bike lights are quite bright and lack proper beam cutoffs, which can unintentionally dazzle others on shared paths or in urban settings.

The cover is easy to print and designed to fit over common light shapes. If you need more glare reduction, you can simply scale the model in the Z-axis in your slicer to create a taller version. This allows for flexibility depending on your specific light and riding conditions.

Use cases:

  • Night cycling in urban areas
  • Shared-use paths or bike trails
  • Being considerate of other road users

What you need:

  • BIKIL Bicycle headlight (check fit for your model) Dutch amazon link
  • This printed glare shield
  • Optional: zip ties or double-sided tape for a more secure fit
