Magic Disappearing Key Box

Behold a curious device, most artfully contrived, whose appearance suggests the handiwork of some forgotten locksmith or a student of arcane machinery. This box, rendered in black with etchings of keys and cryptic runes, recalls the ornament of antique reliquaries or secretive scientific instruments. Yet its function is one of pure illusion.

Within lies a concealed drawer, cunningly fashioned so as to deceive even the most vigilant observer. The operator, through knowledge alone, may engage a hidden aperture beneath the base of the box, and with the most delicate application of the little finger, restrain or release an interior compartment at will. Thus, an object such as a key may be made to appear or vanish entirely from within. It is a subtle contraption, evocative of the mystical curiosities catalogued by Professor Hoffmann and others in the twilight of the nineteenth century—a relic of parlour sorcery brought into the age of the automaton.

***To get the small drawer to fit in the middle drawer, you need to force it a little and pull the sides apart slightly and it will go in.
