35mm Speaker Stand Plug Hidden Audio Cable Routing

This plug is designed to fit inside 35mm speaker stand tubes with an inner wall thickness of around 1.5mm, typically resulting in a ~32mm internal diameter. Compatible with high-quality K&M speaker stands, this plug allows for the discreet installation of a 6.3mm (1/4") mono orjack socket, specifically the Rean NYS 221 model.

By inserting one of these plugs into each end of a speaker stand and connecting them internally with a cable, you can create a stealthy audio signal path through the tube. This allows the top-mounted speaker to rotate freely 360° without cable interference — ideal for stage setups, mobile PA systems, or clean home studio builds. I'm using it to route 60W to a Line Array speaker. I assume that you are limited with the maximum amount of power that you can route through this type of connection but in my case i had no problems at all.

The plug is designed to accommodate the jack socket with a securing nut, though we recommend counter-tightening or using super glue for additional hold. Printing should be done with supports to avoid overhang issues — even though the overhang is hidden during use, it could affect the fit or print quality.

Depending on manufacturing tolerances of your stand's inner diameter, you may need to wrap the plug or use friction material to ensure a snug press-fit.
