Volkswagen Caddy 8P Audi Air Vent Adapters

Volkswagen caddy vent adaptors to retrofit a vent from an 8P Audi S3/A3 into your type 2K Volkswagen caddy. 

I've seen plenty of people selling these online, but no files available, so i spent some time after picking up some vents from an 8P A3 designing these files to fit the caddy with relative ease. 

Print both files, once off the printer, push the adaptor onto the back of the vent first before trying to fit into the caddy, the S1G goes towards the bottom of the caddy, which will be the side of the vent without the gear mechanism. Then you need to fit the adaptor for the vent inside the dash to ensure that the air flows through nicely, install this onto the bottom of the vent, not pushing it all the way home as when you push it into the dash it will do this- the round side goes towards the gear mechanism. 

To remove your old vent, use a couple of flat blade screwdrivers to gently pry them out, being careful not to mar your dashboard as the plastic is very soft. Jump on youtube to find a tutorial. 

To fit the vent into the van, push the top section in first, then the bottom, it is quite a tight fit, so a light thump with your hand will push it in.

If you want to adjust the air vent fins, or one pops out, the silver ring will gently pop out if you pry it out with a spudger/trim removal tool or flat blade screwdriver.

I think these modernize the look of a caddy greatly! 

The files are for ABS which in the vent sections i believe is important, i have PLA ones as well if people are interested, use at your own risk with temperature warps.
