New and Final Version of My Slider for Glass/AMS

Significant changes and improvements have been made, including:

  • Protection against falling or tilting of the glass and AMS unit.
  • Added clamps that secure the riser to the printer's housing, preventing accidental detachment.
  • Improved LED mounting attachment, designed with an angle for optimal lighting of the build plate.
  • Added an optional stopper to prevent the glass from being opened too far.
  • Incorporated grooves on both sides for easy mounting of various accessories, such as hex panels (HSW), IKEA Skadis panels, and many other add-ons like tool holders.
  • Added labels on each part for easier assembly.

There are two available versions:

  • One where the glass opens towards the back, and
  • Another where the glass opens towards the front.

This is cool design and I really want to like it. But.... my top glass doesn't fit to it. It not freely slide it even not fully closed... One front corner always up if I use some push force and close it. In closed position you can see how bursting front panel... Design is great, very minimal, easy to print and to assembly. But in some reason it's not fit for me. I printed in Bambu ABS. I'm used yours profile, just use 4 wall and 25% infill (for Abs not to be fragile). Printed smooth without issues.

From the photo it looks like you slid the glass in from the front which is why it’s raised in that portion. The way this was designed was so that the glass would slide in from the back.

Nope. I slide it back. And I printed profile for back sliding.

Its warped. hence the riser is not parallel to the glass causing excessive friction

don't have that specific file, but it looks like an HSW: Honeycomb Storage Wall. You can find those prints all over

Awesome design and print. Only missing design for the X1C is the rear right clip does not fit. I know this was designed for the P1S originally, but I’m sure there. Boosting this build and looking forward to getting an X1C clip in the future!

Too short for the X1C needs to be at least 6/7mm taller

I try to design a additional frame to save the material of the old one instead of printing the new V4 version.

looks great. the glass movement is a little tight, but otherwise works great. I added the additional support that keeps the ams off the glass.

May I ask where I can also print the additional support? I also have trouble slide the glass -Thanks.

I made HSW holders that attach to the cleat if anyone needs. Two versions available, including a long one that doesn't interfere with the new holder that raises the AMS above the glass. https://makerworld.com/en/models/834543#profileId-779523

I used the 7x9 from https://makerworld.com/en/models/732373#profileId-664039 and re-colored at different layers in Bambu green PLA.

I use Govee LED strips. They are multi color and can be controlled remotely. I have them over my lathe and in my Fiber Laser, will also install one in my P1S

I highly recommend the following combination of LED Strip, LED Controller, and Power Supply. Which is what I am using: LED Strip: * BTF Lightning “FCOB COB FOB RGBCCT LED Light Strip 6Pin DC24V 960 LEDs 12mm Flexible Linear Lights High Density Dimmable 18W” https://www.btf-lighting.com/products/fcob-cob-fob-rgbcct-led-light-strip-6pin-dc24v-960-leds-12mm-flexible-linear-lights-high-density-dimmable-18w?variant=45647779463394 With 960 LEDs/m and an integrated diffusor, this LED strip shows very little pixelation. The dual white light LEDs allow tuning the color temperature of the white light from 3000k – 6000K. You will want to buy the 2m LED Strip and cut off the excess. LED Controller: * BLLED Controller for Bambu Lab (X1-series and P1-series) “Extended Plus” Version https://www.dutchdevelop.com/blled The BLLED Controller obtains the extensive printer status information the X1 and P1 make available over WiFi via the controller’s WiFi antenna. This enables the controller to control the LEDs based on current printer status. For example, you can have the LED strip displaying green when there is no print job underway, orange while the printer is printing, blue when the print job is finished. And blinking red if printing has stopped due an error or the printer has run out of filament. This tight integration with current printer status also enables the BLLED to turn off the LED strip when the Lidar is in use, which really does not like there to be additional lighting in the chamber when performing measurements. Of course standard WLED controller software is include, if all you want is a lightshow. Power Supply: While the LED Controller and LED Strip can be powered by any 24V/2A power supply (a screw clamps terminal and a barrel jack for use with a power brick are on the controller), the more elegant way of powering the controller is by drawing the power from the AMS connector. The permitted power draw according to Bambu Labs specifications from an AMS connector is 24V/2A. A perfect match. To draw the power from an AMS connector, you will need the * BLLED 24V Power Tap by 3dMachinist and a 4-pole AMS cable from Bambu Labs. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1473522635/bl-led-case-w-assembled-24v-power-tap If you buy the variants that ship with a case, the case will house both the 24V Power Tap and the BLLED Controller. I personally didn’t like the look of the material used to print the case and instead opted for buying the “Makers Kit” and printing the case myself, using nicer filament. If you opt for purchasing a “BLLED Extended Plus” controller, you can find the STL for the matching combined case here: https://www.printables.com/model/1062049-blled-extended-plus-case-with-24v-power-tap I have not yet printed the case. Some other objects took priority. As soon as I do print the case, I will make the .3mf file available on MakerWorld. If you are opting for a different BLLED model, simply let 3dMachinist know. I am confident that he will make the matching combined case STL available online. I am happy to answer any questions about the above combination. Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in any of those products and I never met their designers. I am simply a very satisfied customer.
