Really liked the looks of capze's design, but needed a way to securely and universally mount the camera to any current and future projects, and felt like it could be even thinner. The original STL was hard to make precise changes too, so I re-created it in Onshape. Embraced a barebones style of look for the cover.
Disclaimer: Only the general shape, as well as the use of rectangles to support the PCBs was used from Capze's design.
There are two different covers for each model (C100 and C110).
- For C100: Refer to image 5
- For C110: Refer to image 4
Assembly:
- Remove PCB by prying open the glossy black plastic.
- Remove Speaker wires
- Insert PCB by aligning the barrel jack closest to the rectangular indent. It should be firmly held by friction.
- For the version without this indent, align the side with the SD card to the same corner where the PCB support is rectangular. If not matched the PCB will rock back and forth a little. You'll know when you got it right as it sits flush.
- Install inserts and cover
- 4x 6mm M2 Screws
- 4x M2x3 (OD 3) Heat Set Inserts
Mounting Options:
For C110:
- Via two 4.8mm diameter, 3.4mm deep holes. Spaced 20mm apart and sized for M3x3 (OD 5) inserts.
- Embedded 10x2mm magnet. Add a pause at height 2.6cm. You can also use the included STEP file to cut out appropriate sized holes for whatever magnets you have.
For C100:
- Single 3.4mm deep hole for an M3x3 (OD 5) insert.
- Embedded 8x2mm magnet. Add a pause at height 2.4cm. You can also use the included STEP file to cut out appropriate sized holes for whatever magnets you have.
Notes for C100 Model:
- The bottom cover has been widened, and now sits flush with the cover. This new bottom part will also work with any C100/C110 Cover and can be found in the “Optional Parts” folder
- PCB Support is now a single piece.
Notes for C110 Model:
- There is a square indent and rectangular hole near the barrel jack to solder wires directly to the PCB.
- PCB Supports 1 & 2 are not identical. You will need to print both.
- There are two versions of the PCB (that I know of). Please refer to the images and print the corresponding cover. Everything else should be the same.
